“Every child, one voice”

is the national PTA slogan.  This means the PTA works on a national level to help all children in our country.   It is a powerful voice in Washington on the behalf of all children to give them better healthcare, schools and communities.  The PTA is the largest parent organization in our country.

Here in Haddon Township it means that we are thinking about the children in our district and what we as a PTA can do to enrich their lives.  It is the hope of our PTA to provide programs and events that enrich our community.  The PTA has also made a commitment to work with Strawbridge School and the District of Haddon Township as partners in the education of our children.

If you are interested in volunteer work, helping in your child’s school is a great way to give to the community and your child.  It is also a great way to stay connected to your child and their teacher.  Taking the time to volunteer builds bridges between homes and schools, integrating the efforts of parents with those of principals and teachers.  Did you know that research studies conducted over 30 years show that children do better when their parents are involved in their schools.  Grades are higher, test scores improve and attendance increases!  Strong schools mean stronger communities.  Please consider offering a few hours of your time to volunteer for the PTA in any area of interest to you.  Everyone is welcome!
