GIFT CARD FUNDRAISING!

 

Strawbridge PTA has partnered with Great Lakes Scrip Center to offer our families the opportunity to purchase gift certificates to national retailers and earn FREE MONEY for our school!  In an effort to keep our “fundraising” to a minimum in the current economy, we are not suggesting you spend more money, we are simply asking you to rethink how you spend it.  You will have the option of purchasing these cards three different ways, choosing the most convenient for your family.

 

How does this program work? 

Rather than having to go to your local store to purchase a gift card, you will be able to order them directly through the PTA.  You will pay face value for the card at NO ADDITIONAL COST.  Great Lakes buys the gift cards in bulk and in turn, gives our PTA a percentage of the card’s value.  While each retailer may offer varying percentage rewards, the following is a list of sample incentives we would receive:

How to Order

There are three ways to order your cards.  The first is by traditional paper order form (in which case you would fill it out and return the form and your check to the blue box).   Forms will be available to print through the StrawbridgePTA.org website.  The second is using an online order form through www.shopwithscrip.com.  Families will sign up and place their order online instead of using the paper form.  Again, checks will be sent to the blue box and all checks are to be made payable to Strawbridge PTA.  The third way offers the option to order and pay online.  Through www.shopwithscrip.com’s secure website, families will have the ability to sign up and enter their debit account information and pay Great Lakes directly using their PrestoPay option (There will be a small convenience charge of 39¢ for your total order when you use PrestoPay).  

 

We will be placing orders in the beginning of each month.  We encourage you to share this information with family and friends (they will be able to create their own accounts on the website) as a convenient way to buy cards for birthdays, groceries, home improvements, showers, Christmas, dining out, teachers gifts and much more.  The more participating families, the more we can raise for our kids!

 

Go online to www.shopwithscrip.com to sign up and see a full list of retailers, denominations and percentages.  Our enrollment code is 2497D4F4221L1 - you will need this to sign up and create your own account.

Your order will be delivered directly to the school and available for pick-up on a designated day.  Since these cards will be treated the same as cash, we will distribute them on a pick-up basis ONLY.
