PTA President Message for June
By Carole Howley It is hard to believe the school year is almost over. My term as PTA President has been very rewarding. During the past school year, the PTA has accomplished a lot and has much to be proud of. Our success comes from the hard work of the many volunteers. I would like to give a special thanks to the following individuals who helped chair many of our spring activities: Kristina Shaughnessy, Living History; Elaine Howley, Talent Show; Anita Brown and Darlene Soresen, Arts Night; Tracey Lacey and Amy Ruta, Flower Sale; Julia Williams, Art Goes To School; Heather Tallman and Missy Blancher, Teacher Appreciation; Kim Peitruska, Muffins for Moms; Kathleen Grimm, Field Day, Game Day, Family Splash Party, and Student Council Advisor; Bambi Bergeron, Yearbook and Barnes & Noble Night; Carol Nitzberg, Barnes & Noble Night; Amy Ruta, 5th Grade Closing Ceremonies; Stephanie Crowley and Kim Pietruszka, 5th Grade Splash Party; Kim Parker, Spirit Day; Heather Tallman, Teacher’s Luncheon; Jennifer Ravelli, Assemblies Coordinator; Kim Dunkle, Family Messenger; Missy Blatcher and Kim Dunkle, Indoor Bulletin Board; Tracey Lacey and Mimi Sellers, Outdoor Bulletin Board; Kim Marino and Michelle Lennox, Library; June Kaslowski, Market Day; Jeannie Muldoon, Room Parent Coordinator; Becky Sheehan, E-mail Coordinator. Thank you to everyone who helped on these committees as well. Your time and dedication is much appreciated. My time at Strawbridge is over, as my youngest daughter, Laura, will be joining her sister, Olivia, at RMS next year. These past eight years have come and gone very quickly. I am glad to have been a part of such a great school and PTA. My family will always have fond memories of Strawbridge. Thank you to all of the teachers and Mrs. Smith for your dedication to our children. Finally, thank you Elaine, Allison, Gia, Bambi and Heather, our Executive Board. You each are an inspiration for the time and dedication you provide to our PTA. Best of luck next year, Carole |
